This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which payments, credits, cancellations, and refunds are handled for retreats and programs offered by Mahadevi Retreats S.A.S. (“Mahadevi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and aligned with the logistical, financial, and safety commitments required to host retreats responsibly.
General Policy Overview
- Retreat reservations require advance planning, staffing, and coordination.
- Once a booking is confirmed, resources are reserved specifically for the participant.
- For this reason, refunds and credits are subject to the timelines outlined below.
- By submitting payment, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy
Deposit Policy
- A $500 USD deposit is required to confirm your reservation.
- The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
- The deposit secures your space and covers administrative, screening, and preparation costs
Remaining Balance & Payment Deadlines
- The remaining retreat balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the retreat start date.
- Failure to complete payment by the deadline may result in cancellation of your reservation without refund of the deposit.
Refund & Credit Schedule
Refunds or credits for payments excluding the non-refundable deposit are issued according to the following schedule:

100% credit (valid for 24 months)
Up to 3 weeks
85% credit (valid for 24 months)
1–3 weeks
55% credit (valid for 24 months)
Less than 1 week / No-show
No refund or credit
Credits may be applied toward a future Mahadevi retreat, subject to availability.
Medical Disqualification
No refunds or credits will be issued if a participant:
- Leaves the retreat early by choice
- Chooses not to participate in certain activities
- Is removed due to safety concerns, boundary violations, or policy breaches
- Withholds or falsifies medical or personal information
Mahadevi Retreats is not responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of early departure or removal, including transportation or accommodation.
Medicine Contributions
- Contributions for ayahuasca ceremonies (“medicine fees”) are paid in Colombian Pesos (COP).
- These contributions are made directly to Indigenous ceremonial leaders.
- Mahadevi Retreats does not retain or profit from medicine contributions.
- Medicine contributions are non-refundable, as they are part of Indigenous ceremonial practice.
Force Majeure & Retreat Cancellation by Mahadevi
In the unlikely event that Mahadevi Retreats must cancel or postpone a retreat due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Severe weather
- Political unrest
- Public health emergencies
- Acts of God or force majeure events
Participants may choose one of the following options
- A 100% refund of payments made, including the deposit, or
- Transfer to a future retreat date with a 10% discount
Mahadevi Retreats is not responsible for travel-related expenses such as flights, visas, or insurance.
Travel, Visas & Insurance
Mahadevi Retreats does not provide or reimburse:
- Flights
- Travel insurance
- Medical insurance
- Visa fees or travel documentation
- Withhold or falsify medical information
Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain travel and medical insurance.
Refund Processing
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method when possible.
- Processing times may vary depending on banks and payment providers.
- Exchange rate fluctuations and bank fees are not controlled by Mahadevi Retreats.
Policy Updates
Mahadevi Retreats reserves the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy as needed.
