Maha Devi Ayahuasca

MahaDevi Ayahuasca Retreat

Our Team

At MahaDevi Ayahuasca Retreat, our work is guided by collaboration, clear roles, and shared responsibility. Ceremonies are led by indigenous healers from established Amazonian lineages. Preparation, participant care, safety coordination, and integration support are held by experienced facilitators who work closely with the healers before, during, and after each retreat. This structure allows ancestral traditions to be honored while ensuring participants are supported within a clear, grounded, and responsible retreat container.

Indigenous Ceremony Leader

Taita Miguel Mavisoy

Camsá Tribe — Putumayo, Colombia

Taita Miguel Mavisoy is a respected indigenous healer from the Camsá tribe of Putumayo, Colombia. He is known for his warmth, humility, and deep commitment to preserving and sharing the ancestral traditions of Yagé.

Taita Miguel was introduced to the medicine path at six months old by his parents, both recognized healers within the Camsá tradition. By the age of fourteen, he had begun serving medicine, carrying forward the knowledge and responsibility of his lineage. His work has drawn people from Colombia, Europe, and the United States who seek ceremonies grounded in tradition, respect, and community.

Born in the village of Buena Vista near the Ecuadorian border, Taita Miguel was raised within a communal way of life that values presence, humility, and connection to the land. These values are reflected in his ceremonies, which often include traditional music and cultural elements that deepen the ceremonial space.

Taita Miguel's presence, care, and steadiness are central to the ceremonial work at MahaDevi.
