Everything you need to know for a safe, supported experience
This Terms and Conditions Agreement (“Agreement”) governs participation in retreats, programs, and services offered by Mahadevi Retreats S.A.S. (“Mahadevi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By applying for, booking, or participating in a retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement in full.

Mahadevi Retreats S.A.S. is a legally incorporated company in Colombia.

Mahadevi Retreats operates as a wellness, hospitality, and cultural facilitation company, providing lodging, meals, logistics, preparation, and integration support in collaboration with Indigenous ceremonial leaders.
- Mahadevi Retreats is not a medical or mental health provider.
Eligibility Requirements
Participation is subject to the following minimum requirements
- Participants must be 21 years of age or older
- Participants must confirm they are legally permitted to travel to Colombia
- Participants must complete all required screening and consent forms
- Participation is voluntary and subject to approval
Mahadevi Retreats reserves the right to deny or revoke participation at any time for safety or integrity reasons.
Nature & Scope of Services
Mahadevi Retreats provides:
- Lodging and meals
- Cultural and educational programming
- Preparation and integration support
- Facilitation and logistical coordination
- Airport transportation and guided excursions
Important Clarification:
Mahadevi may also offer optional traditional practices (such as rapéh or sananga) as part of cultural programming. Participation in these practices is always optional.
Mahadevi Retreats does not prepare, administer, prescribe, or supply ayahuasca (yagé)
Ayahuasca ceremonies are led exclusively by recognized Indigenous ceremonial leaders
Any medicine-related contribution is made directly to Indigenous leaders, not as payment to Mahadevi Retreats
Medical Disclaimer
Mahadevi Retreats S.A.S.:
- Is not a medical institution
- Does not provide medical or psychological diagnosis or treatment
- Does not offer cures or guarantee outcomes
All information and services are provided for educational, cultural, and wellness purposes only.
Participants are solely responsible for consulting licensed healthcare professionals regarding medical or mental health decisions.
Health Screening & Disqualification
All participants must complete a health and mental health screening process.
Certain conditions may result in disqualification, including but not limited to:
- Schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders
- History of psychosis
- Severe dissociation
- Active or unstable trauma responses
- Active suicidal ideation
- Severe anxiety or depression
- Neurological disorders (e.g., epilepsy, seizures)
- Serious cardiovascular conditions
- Liver or kidney disease
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Use of contraindicated medications
This list is not exhaustive.
Each participant is reviewed case by case.
In complex situations, Mahadevi Retreats may require or recommend consultation with a licensed healthcare professional prior to acceptance.
Final eligibility decisions are made solely for safety reasons.
Assumption of Risk
Ayahuasca (yagé) is a powerful psychedelic substance that may produce intense physical, emotional, and psychological effects.
Even healthy individuals may experience difficulty or distress.
By participating, you acknowledge that:
- You understand the inherent risks involved
- Experiences are unpredictable and vary by individual
- No outcomes or results are guaranteed
- Participation is a voluntary personal decision
Limitation of Liability
Mahadevi Retreats takes reasonable steps to provide a safe and supportive environment, including screening, preparation, and emergency protocols.
However, to the maximum extent permitted by Colombian law:
- Mahadevi Retreats is not responsible for adverse outcomes arising from voluntary participation
- Liability, if any, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the participant
- Mahadevi Retreats is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, where legally applicable.
Behavioral Expectations & Removal
Participants must follow all safety guidelines, boundaries, and instructions provided by staff and Indigenous leaders.
Mahadevi Retreats reserves the right to remove a participant without refund if they:
- Endanger themselves or others
- Violate boundaries or consent
- Use prohibited substances
- Disrupt the retreat environment
- Withhold or falsify medical information
Removal decisions are made solely for safety and group integrity.
Photography, Recording & Confidentiality
Recording devices are not permitted during ceremonies
Photography or video may occur only with:
- Participant consent
- Indigenous leader permission
- Facilitator coordination
Participants agree to respect the confidentiality and privacy of others.
Payments & Deposits
- Currency accepted: USD and COP
- A $500 USD non-refundable deposit is required to confirm booking
- Remaining balance is due 30 days prior to retreat start date
- Medicine contributions are paid in COP, directly to Indigenous leaders
- Mahadevi Retreats does not charge processing fees
Travel & Insurance
Mahadevi Retreats:
- Does not book or insure flights
- Is not responsible for visas or travel disruptions
Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain:
- Travel insurance
- Medical insurance
All travel-related responsibilities remain with the participant.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
Disputes shall first be submitted to confidential arbitration in Colombia.
If unresolved, jurisdiction lies exclusively with Colombian courts.
Acceptance of Terms
Booking a retreat alone does not constitute acceptance.
Participants must sign a separate Terms & Conditions and Consent Agreement prior to participation.
By signing, participants confirm full understanding and acceptance of this Agreement.
