The Medicine Maker Retreat
On certain retreats, a small number of participants are invited into the preparation of the medicine they will later drink in ceremony. You will learn the Camsá way of working with the vine. The identification, the cleaning, the pounding, the layering, and the intention that enters the brew at every stage. When you sit in ceremony holding medicine that your own hands helped prepare, under a 12-generation lineage in the region where this medicine was born, something shifts before the first song is even sung.

Cold-Brew Ayahuasca, Crudo Yagé
Crudo is prepared cold, without fire. The plants are smashed by hand and consumed within a day or two of harvest. It cannot be stored. It cannot leave Colombia.
Most retreats outside the Amazon serve reconstituted paste. At MahaDevi, both Crudo and traditionally cooked Yagé are prepared fresh from plants grown on Taita Miguel's own land.

Crudo Yagé is a raw, uncooked preparation used in Yagé ceremonies in Colombia, unique to the highlands of Putumayo. Dramatically gentler on the body. Less physical intensity. For first-time participants, Crudo changes everything. You are not fighting your body through the ceremony. You are present for it.

The highland Amazon near Mocoa, Putumayo — the heartland of Colombian Yagé tradition. Cooler, drier, and dramatically fewer mosquitoes than lowland jungle camps. A private waterfall, river-view cabins, a swimming pool, and a ceremonial maloka surrounded by primary rainforest. This is where the medicine has always lived.

Medical screening before every Yagé retreat in Colombia. A 1 to 2 facilitator-to-participant ratio during all ceremonies. A clinical psychologist and psychiatrist with plant medicine backgrounds are available when needed. 30 to 40 minutes from 24-hour hospital care in Mocoa. A strict ethical code that has never been compromised. Safety is not a feature at MahaDevi. It is the foundation.

A confidential health intake form followed by a 30 to 60 minute call with our team. We take the time to understand you, answer every question honestly, and assess whether MahaDevi is the right fit. If it is not, we will tell you.
Pay in full or place a deposit. Spaces are limited to 10 to 12 participants per retreat and they close.
Your journey starts here. Dietary protocol, one-on-one preparation session, group calls, breathwork, travel logistics, and everything you need to arrive ready. We guide you through all of it.
We meet you at Mojarras Airport in Mocoa. From that moment, you are fully held until the moment you leave.
