Flight and Logistics Support
During your discovery call, we help you choose the best travel option based on your location, schedule, and budget.
Hotel Assistance
If you arrive early in Puerto Asís or Mocoa, we can help arrange a hotel stay. Hotel costs are covered by you.
Important: Please do not book any flights or accommodations until you have been accepted into the retreat program.
Airport Transportation and Recommended Route
We provide round-trip transportation from the airport to the retreat center. This is included in the price of your retreat.
Recommended Route
For most travelers, we recommend flying into Puerto Asís Airport (PUU) in Putumayo. This is the most practical option, as it offers more flight availability and operates as a larger regional airport. From Puerto Asís, the drive to the retreat center is approximately 2 hours.
An alternative is Villagarzón Airport (VGZ), about a 1-hour drive from our location. This airport has fewer flights, which can make travel planning more limited.
For those prioritizing lower airfare, Antonio Nariño Airport in Pasto (PSO) often offers the most affordable ticket options. Keep in mind the journey from Pasto is approximately 5 to 6 hours.
On the first morning of the retreat, you will be picked up from your hotel and brought to the center.
When to Arrive
We recommend that most international travelers arrive in Bogotá (El Dorado International Airport BOG) at least one day before the retreat begins. Staying overnight in Bogotá allows you to travel with peace of mind, avoiding potential stress from flight delays, schedule changes, or longer immigration lines. The following day, take a short domestic flight to Puerto Asís (PUU).
For travelers from closer destinations such as Florida or other parts of the United States, some choose to skip the overnight stay in Bogotá due to shorter overall travel time. This depends on your comfort level and flexibility.
Road travel insurance is included in your retreat package. You are covered from airport pickup through to drop-off at the end of the retreat.
Step by Step
Fly into Bogotá (BOG)
Arrive a day early. Bogotá has excellent international connections. Stay overnight to rest before your domestic connection.
Domestic Flight to Puerto Asís (PUU)
A short domestic flight connects Bogotá to Putumayo. We will help you find the best option during your discovery call.
Overnight in Puerto Asís or Mocoa
We can assist in arranging a hotel stay. Hotel accommodation costs are covered by you.
Pickup on Retreat Morning
We collect you from your hotel on the first morning of the retreat and bring you to the center. From here, everything is taken care of.
Traveling by Bus
Bus travel is possible from Medellín, Cali, or Bogotá. It is a budget-friendly option, though the journey is long. Plan accordingly and consider arriving a day early to rest before the retreat begins.
Book in Advance
Use Redbus.com to reserve your seat before traveling. Routes to Mocoa fill up, especially on weekends.
Take the Night Bus
We suggest taking a night bus so you can rest while traveling. The journey is 12 or more hours by road.
Important Note
Bus travel in Colombia can be lengthy. The roads into Putumayo are scenic but demand patience. If you have any flexibility, arriving by flight the day before is more comfortable, especially before a week-long retreat.
If you are unsure which travel option suits you, we go through this during your discovery call. There is no single right answer. It depends on your location, budget, and how much time you have.
