For high-tyramine foods in significant quantities, elevated blood pressure is a real concern with MAO-A inhibited. For serotonergic medications, specifically SSRIs, SNRIs, and MAOIs, the risk is serious and the ceremony should be postponed if these are in your system. If you arrive uncertain about something you consumed, tell your facilitator. The fear and guilt you carry about the situation can disrupt the ceremony more than the food itself.
