Rapé, also written hapé, hape, or rapeh, is a finely powdered nasal snuff made from mapacho tobacco and the ash of specific sacred trees. It is administered through a small pipe called a kuripe (self-use) or tepi (by another person). It is not a psychedelic and does not produce visions. It is used for grounding, mental clarity, energetic cleansing, and as a preparation medicine in plant medicine ceremony.
